Zenas Winsor McCay (c. –71 – J ) was an American cartoonist and animator. He is best known for the comic strip Little Nemo (–14; –26) and the animated film Gertie the Dinosaur (). For contractual reasons, he worked under the pen name Silas on the comic strip Dream of the Rarebit Fiend. Winsor McCay Winsor McCay in Born Zenas Winsor McKay c. – Harold and Maude was based on an original screenplay written by producer Colin Higgins. The screenplay was subsequently novelized as Harold and Maude in Harold and Maude was also a play on Broadway, and the script for the play was published as Harold and Maude.

Maude is an eccentric, sexy, glamorous, smart, charming year-old woman, and her hairdo manages to get all that across somehow. Jeff thinks it a little amusingly strange that I should have a geriatric style icon, but it makes perfect sense to me.   Not only was Mabry’s book “Maude” at one time the #1 bestselling indie-published nonfiction book ever on Amazon, the book spent 16 weeks on the Wall Street Journal’s Top list.

Van Druten also authored two autobiographies, The Way to the Present () and The Widening Circle (), as well as Playwright at Work (), a book . McCay’s other major creation is the animated film Gertie the Dinosaur (). One of the earliest examples of animation art in film, Gertie the Dinosaur, while primitive by today’s standards, featured many techniques later adapted by other animators. McCay used separate foreground and background animation that was later tied together to.
